The verdict
The mat we would start with. Natural rubber made in the USA, about 4.7 mm, and it grips from the first session with no break-in. Open-cell rubber wears faster than PVC and hates sunlight, which keeps Build at Strong. A written one-year warranty on wear and defects is rare for a natural rubber mat, and the company's complaint record is clean. Keep it out of the sun and away from essential oils. Not for a latex allergy.

Where it wins
Does one job, at the top mark: grip, from the first day. No months-long break-in, which is the main complaint about the Manduka PRO.
Company trust at Strong. A written warranty that covers wear, not just defects, is unusual for natural rubber, and JadeYoga holds a BBB A+ with no complaint pattern we could find.
Where it misses, and this is the part to read
The Amazon catch. The warranty is void for purchases from unauthorized resellers, and that includes Amazon. Buy it from JadeYoga or an authorized shop, or you are buying it without the coverage that earned it this rating.
Build at Strong, not Exceptional. Open-cell rubber absorbs sweat, wears faster than closed-cell PVC, and degrades in sunlight. Store it rolled, indoors.

A Cochrane review of 21 trials and 2,223 people found yoga improved pain and function in chronic low back pain compared with no exercise (Wieland 2022). A Cochrane review of 10 trials found Pilates reduced pain and disability compared with minimal intervention (Yamato 2015). Yoga reduced anxiety across 8 trials (Cramer 2018), and slow breathing raises heart rate variability in the short term (Zaccaro 2018).
