Renu now also sells the Cold Stoic 3.0 (from $12,799; the 2.0 is from $9,999, prices checked October 27, 2026), which reaches 37°F and adds heat to 104°F on the same warranty. Read our 3.0 rating.
Five years on the body, in a lane where one year is the norm.
The verdict
The one that looks like furniture. An insulated plunge that chills to 39°F with the chiller and filtration tucked into a mechanics bay, finished in real wood or composite decking. Five years on the body, one year on the chiller, and an optional extended chiller plan. You pay for the look, which is fair if the look is what keeps you using it.

What you are buying
A plunge designed to sit somewhere you can see it rather than somewhere you hide it. The mechanics bay is the tell: the working parts are deliberately concealed.
Where it wins
Company trust, at four marks, is the best in the cold lane. Five years on the body is a genuine outlier where one year is the norm. The build correction matters too: this is a plastic body with a wood or composite deck, not steel, and we corrected our own earlier copy to say so.
Where it misses
Value, at three marks. You are paying a premium for finish, and it chills to 39°F rather than the 37°F the Plunge All-In and The Cold Life Ultimate Lite reach. Two degrees is not nothing if you are chasing a number, though it is irrelevant if you are chasing a habit.
Safety listing: none published. Renu Therapy publishes no ETL, UL or CSA listing for the chiller on its product, specification, manual or warranty pages (checked October 22, 2026). As of October 2026 none of the cold plunge brands we rate publishes one, so it does not change the score. We will re-check in early 2027.
Company basis
Five-year limited warranty on the plunge. Chiller covered one year, with an extended chiller warranty sold separately. Independent review scored customer experience 4 of 5, the best in this group. The catch: Renu pays labor up to $50 an hour for two hours; you pay shipping. Coverage is for the original purchaser only, for residential use only. Checked 2026-09-30.
What voids it. Poor water chemistry, neglected filter care, improper cleaning agents, misuse or neglect, power outages and low water flow. A filter housing O-ring lost during a filter change is not covered, and commercial use voids the warranty. Repairs by anyone Renu has not approved also void coverage, and claims go to help@renutherapy.com. Read from Renu's home-use warranty page 2026-10-27.
Who it is for
Anyone putting a plunge in a visible part of the house, and anyone who weights long coverage over peak cold. Check the floor first, using how to plan a setup.
