Renu's small-space plunge, and its least expensive.
The verdict
An upright tub about 42 by 33 inches that sits where a long tub will not fit, with the biggest chiller in the plastic range (0.8 HP) and heat to 100°F. It is also the newest model, so it has the shortest track record. Same coverage as the rest of the range: five years on the tub, one on the chiller.

What you are buying
An upright plastic tub about 42 by 33 inches and 39 inches tall, around 95 gallons filled and about 129 pounds empty, with an XL filter, ozone and a marine-grade SeaDek deck. It reaches 37°F. Heat to 100°F is an option: $7,500 cold only, $7,800 hot and cold. Price checked October 27, 2026. Renu lists shipping at 8 to 12 weeks.
Will it fit where you want it?
The Vero is the plunge for a garage corner, a small patio or a spare room, so these are the numbers that decide it. All are from Renu's published specs, read October 2026.
- Footprint: about 42 by 33 inches, roughly 9.6 square feet, and 39 inches tall. Leave room beside it to step in and out, and space behind the chiller so it can breathe.
- Weight on the floor: about 1,080 pounds filled, before anyone gets in. Spread over that footprint, that is roughly 110 pounds per square foot. Typical home floors are designed around 40, so a slab in a garage or basement is the easy case. A floor with a room below it needs a straight answer from someone who can look at the joists. See how to plan a home recovery setup.
- Power: 120V on a dedicated 15A circuit, with GFCI protection built into the plug. Cooling draws about 1,080 watts and heating about 1,200. No extension cords: see cold plunge with or without a chiller.
- Who fits: Renu lists users up to 6 feet 6 inches and 300 pounds. The inside step is 30 by 18 inches.
- Noise: Renu lists the chiller at 58 decibels from about 3 feet (its FAQ said 62; Renu confirmed 58 to us on October 20, 2026), roughly the level of a normal conversation. Worth knowing if it will sit near a bedroom window.
Where it wins
Value, at four marks, one higher than the Cold Stoic 3.0: more chiller for $5,299 less. Footprint, too. About 42 by 33 inches is the smallest Renu makes, which matters in a garage corner or on a small patio.
Where it misses
Track record. The Vero is the newest model in the range, and there are no independent long-term reviews of it yet. We rated it from Renu's published specs and warranty and the brand's record on its older tubs. We will revisit it as owners report back.
Safety listing: none published. Renu Therapy publishes no ETL, UL or CSA listing for the chiller on its product, specification, manual or warranty pages (checked October 22, 2026). As of October 2026 none of the cold plunge brands we rate publishes one, so it does not change the score. We will re-check in early 2027.
The catch
The five years cover the tub. The chiller, the part most likely to need work, is covered for one year from delivery. An optional extension adds four more years, but it has to be bought within 364 days of shipment. Renu pays labor up to $50 an hour for two hours; you pay shipping. Coverage is for the original purchaser only, for residential use only, and commercial use voids it. Water leaks, poor water chemistry, neglected filters, freezing, power outages and low water flow are excluded.
Company basis
Five-year limited warranty on the tub. Chiller covered one year from delivery, with an optional extension to five years total. Residential use only, original purchaser only. Labor capped at $50 an hour for two hours; customer pays shipping. Read from Renu's published home-use warranty page. Checked 2026-09-30.
What voids it. Poor water chemistry, neglected filter care, improper cleaning agents, misuse or neglect, power outages and low water flow. A filter housing O-ring lost during a filter change is not covered, and commercial use voids the warranty. Repairs by anyone Renu has not approved also void coverage, and claims go to help@renutherapy.com. Read from Renu's home-use warranty page 2026-10-27.
