Three Renu plunges, one warranty. The Cold Stoic 3.0, the Vero and the Aurelius all carry the same coverage, five years on the tub and one on the chiller, so the choice comes down to shape, space and price rather than protection. All three Meet the Standard. None is our Editor's Pick, because nothing in cold is yet.

The short answer

Buy the Vero if space or price is the constraint. It has the smallest footprint Renu makes, the biggest chiller of the three, and the lowest price. It is also the newest model, so it has the shortest track record.

Buy the Cold Stoic 3.0 for the classic Renu look. The furniture-style upright tub, now reaching 37°F and heating to 104°F. You pay for the finish.

Buy the Aurelius if you want to lie down. A wide, low tub under 30 inches tall that you lie back in and step into easily. It needs the most floor.

The warranty they share, and the catch

All three carry Renu's home-use limited warranty: five years on the tub, one year on the chiller from delivery. The chiller is the part most likely to need work, and the optional extension that adds four years has to be bought within 364 days of shipment. Renu pays labor up to $50 an hour for two hours; you pay shipping. Coverage is for the original purchaser only and for residential use only. Water leaks, poor water chemistry, neglected filters, freezing, power outages and low water flow are excluded. Read from Renu's published warranty page, checked 2026-09-30.

Where each one wins

Cold Stoic 3.0. The look, and the widest temperature range: 37°F to 104°F, with heat included. It is the successor to the Cold Stoic 2.0, two degrees colder and now heated.

Vero. Space and value. About 42 by 33 inches fits where a long tub will not, the 0.8 HP chiller is the biggest of the three, and at $7,500 it costs $5,299 less than the 3.0. That is why it is the only one of the three with Value at Strong.

Aurelius. Access and posture. Low sides make getting in and out easier than climbing into a 35 to 39 inch upright tub, and it is the only one you lie back in fully. It costs $4,499 more than the Vero for a smaller chiller, which is the price of the shape.

What about the Siberian Pro and the 2.0?

Siberian Pro: Does not meet the Standard. Renu's largest and most expensive tank ($15,499) is cold only and carries one year of coverage on the tub and the chiller, the shortest in the range. Read why.

Cold Stoic 2.0: still sold, still Meets the Standard. It chills to 39°F without heat, on the same five-year tub warranty, at $9,999. Read the 2.0 rating.
